Dextran

Dextran polymer is kind of high molecular polymer of glucose which comes from saccharose and fermented by intestinal membrane leukonoid -1226 (Leucon05tocmesenteroides), it is processed by refining. Due to the different number of polymerized glucose molecules, the molecular weight of Dextran polymer are different. There are high molecular dextran ( average molecular weight are 100-200 thousand) , middle molecular dextran ( average molecular weight are 60 -80 thousand ) low molecular dextran ( average molecular weight are 20 -40 thousand) and small molecule dextran ( average molecular weight of 10 -20 thousand ). Dextran 40 and dextran 70 have been listed in the Rural Cooperative Medical System Essential Drugs List.
