Description
PBAT is our biodegradable, statistical, aliphatic-aromatic copolyester based on the monomers 1, 4-butanediol, adipic acid and terephthalic acid for film extrusion. It has similar properties to LDPE.
● Transparent to translucent, semi-crystalline structure with DSC melting point in the range of PE-LD: 110 – 120 °C
● High ultimate elongation at break and high failure energy (dart drop)
● High, but controllable water vapour transmission rate (WVTR)
● MVR (190 °C, 2,16 kg): 2,5 – 4,5 ml/10 min.
● Good thermostability up to230 °C
● regular predrying of pellets
● Good processability on blown film lines
● Down gaging to 10 μm possible
● Weldable and printable

【Package and storage】:
Packing: It is packed with aluminum-plastic or woven bag by Vacuum nitrogen filling,500Kg/ bag, there is also package of25Kg/ bag which is packed with aluminum-plastic or kraft paper bag;
Storage:It should be stored in dry place at room temperature, it is steady in normal storage and using.
Shelf life: 12 months in original package.
Usage: seal off just before processing, the remained part should be re-sealed to store.
Biodegradable function
PBAT is fully biodegradable if at least 90 % of the organic carbon in the material has been converted in a test period of maximum180 days. The degradation curve shows that more than 90 % of PBAT has been converted after just 80 days to CO2, water, energy and biomass.
