Multifunctional nuclease, cGMP grade, [9025-65-4], is a genetically engineered endonuclease from Serratia marcescens and is a typical representative of multifunctional nucleases commonly used in the production process of biological products.

It exhibits the capability to degrade various forms of DNA and RNA, including single-stranded, double-stranded, linear, superhelical, and circular DNA, RNA, and genomic DNA. The resultant breakdown yields smaller oligonucleotides, primarily composed of 2-5 bases, without displaying specificity for nucleic acid sequences and lacking protease activity.
